When Phil was diagnosed with Diabetes 1 he went straight in to the relentless regime

of testing blood sugar levels and managing his insulin requirements with injections.

After 7 years of an uphill struggle against unstable levels he went on to an Insulin Pump.

The pump brought more stability but he found the actual wearing of it cumbersome

and unreliable.  The only accessories available through pump manufacturers were clip

on belts or pouches that often caused problems. 

 

The Freedom Vest's unique design has evolved from Phil's own battle of having to

manage his Diabetes while still keeping up an active lifestyle in video production and

live projections at large public events.  All the needs of a 21st Century Diabetic have

been considered.

We've used good quality, soft, 100% cotton that's super comfortable to wear,
easy to wash and lightweight enough for quick drying. 

 

Phil first designed the Freedom Vest for himself.  Now, he would never go back to the more traditional methods of carrying a medical device.  He knew after wearing it that other pumpers and diabetics would  appreciate the real sense of independence and security the Freedom Vest brings.  Not only do you have all your medical supplies on you but the vest can also accommodate all the accessories needed for a mobile life, such as phones, keys, cards, cash, ID.
